Today, we attended the funeral of a well loved teacher. She was an amazing woman who touched the lives of many. She was more than just a teacher to us. She was a friend, a confidant. You could go to her for anything. It didn't even matter if you had one of her classes, she was still there for you whenever you needed her.
The service was beautiful. To listen to who she was to so many people, the many hats she wore, was a reminder of the beautiful person that she was. Her's was truly a life worth celebrating and I know that I am a better person for her having been a part of mine.
I can only hope that my children will have a teacher who touches their lives, who changes even one small thing for them, who gives them the strength and the confidence they need to venture out in the world.
Rest in Peace Mrs. Virginia Wood. You have left your mark on this world and on everyone who came into contact with you. Heaven is all the richer with you there.

Back2School
The kids started back to school almost 2 weeks ago. I assumed that with them back in school, I would find more time to read and write. Truth be told, I haven't gotten much of either done in the days since they have been back in school. I get the household chores done. Laundry and dishes don't fill my whole day, though. Truth be told, I mostly just spend my days trying to clear out my DVR. I spend a lot of time just trying to wake up. I feel so tired, and I am not really adjusting well to the new schedule. Honestly, it isn't like I am getting up much earlier than my internal alarm clock wakes me. So, why is it I just can't get myself going? Really, reading or writing don't even require that I move from my spot on the couch. Laptops go anywhere as do books. So I guess the truth is that it falls on me and me alone. Hopefully, within the coming weeks, I will adjust to the new schedule and the silence in the house and get some work done. Clark must be in the same, unmotivated boat. He thought that when the kids went back to school, he would find the time and the gumption to illustrate for the next book. So far, he hasn't sat down and put pencil or paint to paper. What are we waiting for? The kids being back in school should have been just what we needed to get ourselves going again.

Have you Googled you lately?
I use Google search to keep an eye on things. I run a search for "We've Seen Santa" or "Tiffany A. Higgins" or both combined to see what pops up. Usually I find the same old links. On occasion, I find new reviews or new online stores that are carrying "We've Seen Santa" now.
Today, I made a new discovery. I discovered that "We've Seen Santa" is listed on GetGlue.com. I am not even sure what GetGlue is. I just know that I have seen people posting from there on Facebook. They post things like I am watching _______ with 'x' people. I don't know if GetGlue will help to get my name or the name of my book out there. But, I will take any opportunity I can get.
We've Seen Santa on GetGlue.com
Does anyone out there no anything about GetGlue? Can you tell me what it is and what it will mean for my book's publicity? Does GetGlue recommend my book to people? Does it put it in some kind of list? Any and all information on GetGlue would be appreciated.
